The Mexican 50 Pesos is an official government restrike with a restrike date of 1947. It is not legal tender. The obverse side of the coin depicts Winged Victory positioned in front of the Mexican volcanoes Popocaté and Iztaccihuatl. An eagle sitting on top of a cactus with a serpent in its beak is depicted on the reverse and represents the Mexican Coat of Arms. The purity of the coins is 21.6 Karat, and the fineness is 900. The edge of the coin is lettered with "Independencia Y Libertad." The designer of the Mexican 50 Pesos is Emilio del Moral and they are minted at Casa de Moneda de Mexico.
